History

Marine Cargo Resources was founded as a division of Agropelter in 2025. As Agropelter grew, it was clear that it could no longer depend on third party freight services to manage their industrial and high security shipping requirements. Marine Cargo Resources was formed initially to transport sensitive equipment from Agropelter's Mobile, Alabama distribution facility to various medium risk locations throughout the Caribbean Sea to support bases and indirectly supply combat operations during the NGC Conflict. The Caribbean battlefield proved to be an invaluable testing ground for Agropelter's new coastal patrol boats, active in the NGC Blockade. Due to the proximity to Agropelter's research and development and distribution infrastructure, the NGC Conflict was seen as a perfect opportunity to test various configurations of these patrol boats. Third party logistics contractors were not willing to enter an area with active military and paramilitary action, and the U.S. Navy would not spare ships to deliver many of Agropelter's often small and time critical shipments. Among the delivered components included engines, reduced weight hull components, armored glass, optimized weapons parts, and experimental prototype technologies. These components were often delivered in extremely small quantities of only a handful of units per variation.

Shortly after the conclusion of the NGC Conflict, MCR was spun off into a subsidiary of Agropelter. As part of this transition, control over Agropelter's internal logistics were officially transferred to MCR. MCR now managed several warehousing and logistics facilities, and now operated trucks, barges, a small cargo ship, and a limited fleet of Gulfstream G600 and Pilatus PC-24 aircraft.
